Homework: Section 2-2

For the posted worksheet, please work problems 1-19. You will need to design a template to write your answers on. If you do not understand the answers I supplied then you need to ask a question. Reference your book for the definitions and examples of:

  1. counterexample- an example you create that makes the conditional statement FALSE.

  2. biconditional statement- A statement of the form P if and only if Q. An example is:

P= A polygon is a triangle

Q= the polygon has three sides

P if and only if Q = A polygon is a triangle if and only if it has three sides.

Symbolically this statement is written as P <--> Q
